This itinerary takes in the university city of Cambridge, the gently rolling countryside and picture-book villages of Suffolk, the glorious Suffolk coast between Aldeburgh and Southwold, followed by a stay at an inn set within a deer park, an option to explore Norwich, and concludes with a tour of the fabulous North Norfolk coast - grand halls, vast beaches and bird-rich saltmarshes.

Day 1
Visit Cambridge, its winding streets lined with old houses and shops, ancient colleges and churches and go punting on the River Cam. STAY - The Packhorse, Moulton, Suffolk (from £100).
Day 2
Visit Bury St Edmunds (including its abbey) or Long Melford (for antiques) & Lavenham (a picture book village); lunch at The Northgate in Bury St Edmunds or at the Bildeston Crown; then have a scenic rural drive through sleepy Suffolk villages to Southwold on the coast. STAY – The Swan, Southwold, Suffolk (from £190).
Day 3
Adnams Distillery Tour followed by lunch at the Anchor in Walberswick and a beach walk; or visit Snape Maltings (lifestyle shop/café/galleries) followed by lunch at the Ship at Dunwich and a heathland or beach walk. Day 4/5
Head to Norwich or visit Felbrigg Hall or Blickling Hall (both National Trust), then savour the fabulous coast drive via Holkham Hall, the magnificent Holkham Beach, Burnham Market, take a coastal path stroll, or a seal trip to Blakeney Point. STAY - White Horse, Brancaster Staithe, Norfolk (from £110); dinner looking out over the salt marshes at sunset.
