The two inns
Offering rustic boutique bedrooms and an intimate neighbourhood
bistro, the 18th century
Roebuck Inn boasts a stylish interior with a big dose
of quirk. Expect a totally relaxed and informal atmosphere in the
bistro, which features a red and black tiled floor, stripped brick
walls, old French shutters, leather banquettes, a retro
wood-burning stove and an eclectic mix of café-style tables. Menus
brim with Mediterranean inspired dishes and there's excellent
accommodation in the form of six very special bedrooms.
Relax and unwind at this striking 16th-century coaching inn and
adjoining Elizabethan manor house, nestled in a sleepy village set
in glorious Peak District countryside. Following an invigorating
local walk, beat a path to the door of the Old Hall Inn and soak up
the atmosphere in the rambling and rustic interior over a locally
brewed ale or a glass of something special.
Recently refurbished, the
Old Hall Inn has lost none of its original
charm and character - expect old flagstones, stone mullion windows,
roaring fires and an impressive minstrel's gallery in the old hall
dining room. Under the same ownership as the
Paper Mill Inn across the road.
