Overview

This unique Experience will give you some unforgettable moments combining a two night relaxing getaway at The Merry Harriers with a guided llama walk, breakfast each morning and a 2 course dinner for two.

Enjoy all the Inn have to offer with a night in the charm and comfort an Inn Room, Garden Room or one of the deluxe Shepherds Huts.

The friendly herd of 13 llamas, each with their own individual character and personality, have an incredibly calming and therapeutic influence and make the ideal companions for trekking the outstanding natural beauty of the hills surrounding Merry Harriers.

The trek has a variety of routes selected to suit individual fitness and ability. The treks average around 3 miles each and some routes (seasonally dependant) can be especially muddy so appropriate footwear is required.

Lunch
In Spring and Summer enjoy a picnic lunch that your llama will helpfully carry for you. In Autumn and Winter, enjoy lunch back at the Inn with a bottle of local wine.

The trek takes roughly 2.5 hours

Gear
Dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes and take along a fully charged mobile phone and some water.

Treats for llamas
Llamas love carrots, apples and Brussel sprouts - the llama guides will make special treat stops along the way which make great photo opportunities.

Dogs
If you wish to bring your dog do let us know in advance. Llamas are very sociable and friendly towards most dogs but if you think your dog may bark constantly or if he/she is a terrier type likely to run around their back legs then it would be better not to.

Age restrictions
The minimum age for the llama trek is 8 years. We do accept babies in backpacks or papoose carriers.
