Overview

This championship course, set in the heart of historic Rushmore Park, has a unique claim to fame: it has nine holes in Dorset and nine in Wiltshire. Once the hunting ground of King John, this modern golf course on ancient land features distinctive specimen trees, beautifully manicured fairways and because it's so high up on the chalk escarpment of Cranbourne Chase plenty of spectacular views to enjoy between shots - in fact, on a clear day you can see as far as the Isle of Wight off the south coast.

Afterwards you can enjoy a light meal or drink in the club house, where there's a bar and restaurant open until dusk, or make your way back to the inn for a reviving coffee or bite to eat.
