Renowned as a great little local, this traditional, dog-friendly British pub brings a slice of the countryside to a small corner of south-west London. Step through the front door into a stylish cocoon of stripped oak floors, vintage furniture and soft cream walls and you could easily believe you were in rural Hampshire or maybe the Cotswolds.

The kitchen boasts signature dishes such as their famous Scotch eggs and sausage rolls, traditional Sunday roasts, pub classics and delicious, innovative dishes with an eye to seasonality and freshness. From the bar you can order a full complement of real cask ales (there is always a monthly guest ale), lagers, wine and spirits. If it's sunny outside or the evening's warm, head for a coveted table on the street to watch the world pass by, or simply cosy up in the bar for a relaxing drink.

Situated in a quiet residential area within a few minutes walk of some of south-west London's finest parkland, including Eel Brook Common, South Park and Imperial Park. The River Thames and Chelsea Harbour are also close by.

Restaurant & bar

Grab a seat at the front of the bar for a snack, or reserve one of the mis-matched wooden tables to try an inventive menu in the evening or to enjoy a long leisurely lunch. You could even settle into one of the leather-clad booths for a meal, but no matter which area you choose to dine in, The Sands End offers informal dining with premium food in equal measure.

The menus emphasise a field-to-fork concept and feature the best local & wild seasonal ingredients that have been responsibly sourced. The bar offers an extensive list of fine wines, a selection of Cask Marque accredited real ales, and an array of elegant classics and seasonally-themed cocktails.

Private dining

The private dining room, with its stripped oak floors, gold gild mirror, fireplace and vintage furniture, offers a rare opportunity to host a party or special occasion in an intimate setting. Up to 24 guests can be seated in the room. If you'd like to host a standing reception, there is ample space for 35 guests.
