Assembly Coffee strive to set the leading example for the industry, in:
In the summer of 2014, Assembly Coffee brought together cafes and restaurants in the UK to share their experiences and help define what they could do as coffee roasters to be genuinely different and therefore valuable.
After six months of conversations, they emerged with a vision to source and roast the highest quality specialty coffees in the world through the lens of their customers. They knew they had to be dynamic, innovative and responsive in the way they worked with their wholesale partners.
This approach guided them to create their coffee catalogue, coffee taste note illustrations, packaging, insight reports and more through collaborative working with their partners - with the shared aim of creating innovative solutions to industry challenges.
In April 2015 Assembly Coffee officially launched as sponsors of the inaugural Coffee Masters at London Coffee Festival and their journey began.
Assembly Coffee's catalogue spans espresso, filter and Limited Edition coffees. Their single origin House Espresso is an interpretation of a contemporary espresso, and it rotates seasonally across several producers who they work with year-after-year. The Assembly Blend is their classic espresso with rich texture and full body. Their range of filter coffees rotates regularly and showcases the world's most progressive, innovative producers.
Assembly Limited Editions share truly unique flavour experiences that challenge existing reference points for quality.
Assembly Coffee are proudly B-Corp and Carbon Neutral certified - they were the first roaster in the UK to hold both certifications simultaneously! They roast on a Loring S15 Falcon and a Loring S30 Kestrel - two of the most energy-efficient roasters on the market. They seek out producers who prioritise low-impact farming methods and who work to protect the biodiversity of their habitat.
The curation of their coffee catalogue is driven by purpose and impact. Every coffee is sourced with the ambition to create value for stakeholders and surface more sincere narratives for the speciality movement.
